Move money between wallets
Bank to cash is a transfer. Logged as a spend, it doubles your month.
Taking cash out of a bank account does not make you poorer, but logged as a spend that is exactly what it looks like. A transfer says the money moved: one wallet goes down, the other goes up, and the total is unchanged.
Why it matters in the report
A report adds up what you spent. If withdrawals go in as spending, each one is counted when you take it out and again when you spend it, and the month reads roughly twice as heavy as it was.
- Cash taken out of a bank account
- Money moved into an e-wallet to top it up
- Money moved into a wallet you keep separate
A transfer is not income either. It shows up on neither side of money in against money out.
